February 04, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress in Delta State has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for allocating pipeline surveillance slots, which have provided employment opportunities for thousands of youths across the state.
In a statement jointly signed by prominent party leaders, including Delta APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie; Senators Ede Dafinone (Delta Central), Joel Onowakpor-Thomas (Delta South), Ned Munir Nwoko (Delta North); Hon. Ejiroghene Waive, representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency; Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, founding leader of Delta APC; Hon. Victor Ochei, and former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly; Elder Godsday Orubebe
Others are, Hon. Stella Okotete; Hon. Engr. Doris Uboh; Sir Richard Odibo; Hon. Halims Agoda; Chief Michael Johnny; Hon. Chris Oghenechovwe; and Chief Evans Omatsoguwa, the party acknowledged the pivotal roles played by key stakeholders in securing the slots.
The APC lauded Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, for his influential leadership and commitment to youth empowerment.
They also praised Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and the management of Tantita Surveillance Services for their dedication to national security and for engaging Delta youths in critical security operations.
“The decision to involve our youths in such a crucial aspect of the nation’s security infrastructure speaks volumes about the inclusivity of the Tinubu administration and its commitment to ensuring that the benefits of governance reach all Nigerians,” the statement read.
The party highlighted Keyamo’s efforts in promoting economic growth through innovative partnerships within the aviation sector, describing his contributions as vital to addressing youth restiveness and fostering sustainable development in Delta State.
Commending Tantita Surveillance Services for its professionalism and dedication to securing the nation’s oil infrastructure, the APC emphasised the importance of collaboration between the Federal Government and private entities in enhancing national security, particularly within the oil and gas sector.
“This partnership serves as a model for future initiatives aimed at addressing the day-to-day challenges faced by the people of the Niger Delta region,” the party noted.
