November 12, (THEWILL) – Operatives of the Ghana Police Service have arrested 26 Nigerians for alleged criminal activities in the Kasoa area of the country.
The deputy commissioner of police, Ghana Police Services, Okyere Boapeh, said the suspects were arrested based on intelligence gathered from the police headquarters.
Boapeh said police intelligence uncovered some criminal activities in Iron City, a suburb in Kasoa, adding that a team of police personnel were deployed to the area where the 26 suspects, including two women, were picked up from a house.
Deputy Police Commander Amaning Oduro said they retrieved 31 laptops, 26 mobile phones, five machetes and substances suspected to be Indian hemp from the suspects.
He said the suspects are expected to be screened and those found culpable would be charged to court.
