December 03, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted a former member of the House of Representatives, Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu.
THEWILL gathered that the assailants fatally shot the police escort who attempted to resist the abduction.
Although the Nasarawa State Police Command has not issued any statement on the incident, local villagers confirmed that Kigbu was abducted on Monday evening, while travelling to Jos.
He was intercepted between Nunku, a community in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, and Gwantu Village in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
