
December 01, (THEWILL) – The Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed a letter threatening attack on Churches in Gusau, the state capital.
The purported letter, according to the Police, was dropped at its Command headquarters in Gusau.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Elkana, who confirmed the development during an interactive session with newsmen in Gusau, said the Command was yet to authenticate the authors of the letter.
“We are yet to ascertain where the letter came from, but considering the current situation in the country, we will not just sit down and overlook the content of the letter”, Elkana said.
He further explained that he had directed for adequate security personnel to be deployed to Churches and Mosques from next Friday to ensure security in the State.
