In her keynote address, Hajia Azare stressed the importance of collective action in strengthening families and building safer communities. She described police wives as critical pillars of support for officers serving on the frontline, maintaining peace and security.

According to her, the distribution of essential items was part of the association’s welfare programme to assist members and demonstrate solidarity within the police family.

Items distributed included foodstuffs, sanitary pads, clothing and other household essentials.

“This distribution is a token of our love and solidarity. As we celebrate the strength and resilience of women across the world, we must ensure that no member of our POWA family is left behind,” she said, adding that under her leadership, the welfare of women and children within the police community would remain a top priority.
