BEVERLY HILLS, October 06, (THEWILL) – President Buhari will on Thursday present the N13.08 trillion budget proposal approved for the 2021 fiscal year by the Federal Executive Council to the National Assembly.
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, had last Wednesday said the Council approved the budgetary proposal.
In a letter read by Senate President Ahmed Lawan on Tuesday at the resumption of plenary, President Buhari “is requesting the audience of lawmakers in both chambers for the presentation of the budget.”
The Senate is also expected to consider and pass the 2021-2023 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) before Thursday.
