Private Jet With VIPs Crash-Lands In Ibadan

January 26, (THEWILL) – A private jet on Friday morning, crash-landed at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

THEWILL reports that the jet, with registration number, N580KR, with 10 persons onboard including Very Important Personalities (VIPs), missed the runway into the nearby bush.

Sources at the airport said firefighters and rescue officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), were deployed to the scene.

Spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Carol Adekotujo, who confirmed the incident, said, ”The private plane from Abuja landed safely but overshot the runway”, adding that there was no casualty.
