THEWILL reports that major markets, shopping malls and banks were shut in the state capital following apprehension over possible breakdown of law and order as a result of the #EndBadGovernance protest bill to be held across the country from August 1st to 10th, 2024.

Traders at the markets shut their premises in major business centres like Etim Edem Park. Besides this, government offices, including the State Ministry of Information, remained under lock and key as civil and public servants stayed away.
