April 06, (THEWILL) – Foremost construction and real estate development firm, Landwey Investment Company, has said it remains committed to professionalism and quality service delivery in the bid to satisfy its teeming clients amid growing competition in the industry.
The Lagos-based firm also reiterates its commitment towards consistently delivering top-of-line facilities to its customers with projects such as Millennial Town, The Apartment, The Urban Prime projects, The Milton Estate and many others as a testament to its promise of proving international standards.
In a statement issued Tuesday and made available to THEWILL, the leading indigenous estate investment firm condemned a recent website publication (not THEWILL) alleging unprofessional conduct about the delivery of a property 21 months after payment was made by a client.
It said such allegations were not only unbecoming, but meant to mislead the public with the aim to lower the towering image of Landwey in Nigeria’s real estate industry.
“The attention of Landwey has been drawn to a website publication with allegations surrounding the delivery of a property 21 months after payment was made by a client.
“While this publication acknowledges enormous Industry challenges in recent times such as shortages of competent labour, the Management of Landwey wishes to reassure all stakeholders of the definite delivery of all pending projects as the company adapts to its new reality”, the firm said.
Landwey, while addressing the reasons behind the project delays and setbacks, identified the different challenges ranging from contractors’ time inefficiencies, inflation and the fluctuating Foreign Exchange, which it said has impacted the procurement of construction materials.
It explained that it is also currently faced with resolving a series of backlogs sadly caused by the impact of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
The firm added that it has maintained routine communication with all stakeholders with periodic updates to prevent a communication gap that can easily be misconstrued.
Commenting on this regrettable challenge in the industry, Landwey COO, Seun Eyitayo, stated that, “It is rather distressing that we are now seeing shortages of competent local talent at the different levels of development in construction, coupled with all the current economic realities which invariably slows down the pace of work. We realise how valuable time is in our industry as it often translates to monetary value, however, we hope our clients remain understanding as we adapt to this challenge.”
The Management of Landwey has unreservedly implored the general public to rest assured that delivery delay concerns raised will be addressed accordingly, while it makes further improvements in providing continuous updates to all relevant stakeholders.
“As a leading Construction and Real Estate Investment organisation, Landwey is committed to consistently delivering top-of-line facilities to its customers with projects such as Millennial Town, The Apartment, The Urban Prime projects, The Milton Estate and many others as a testament to its promise of proving international standards.
“The brand remains unwavering in displaying its ethos of excellence, accountability, transparency, and integrity and it strives to reflect these principles in the entire value chain of its offerings”, the firm stated.
