Rochas Okorocha

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately release detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, in the spirit of national reconciliation

This was as he harped on the need for Nigerians to unite against all odds and happenings in the country.

Okorocha made this call on Friday while receiving the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who was in Owerri en-route to Abia state in continuation of consultation with stakeholders in the Niger Delta region

He pointed out that Kanu’s activities should be seen as youthful exuberance.

“What he is agitating for, is what others are agitating for too.  But he used the wrong language and insulted leaders including myself. But this is the time for national reconciliation,” the Governor said.
