Residents Invade NEMA Warehouse In Abuja, Loot Foodstuffs, Other Items

March 03, (THEWILL) – Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Sunday, looted a warehouse belonging to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) over the current economic hardship in the country.

THEWILL gathered that the warehouse, located in Karimo, Phase 3 region of the FCT, Abuja, was raided on Sunday morning. The residents carted away foodstuffs and other items.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, in a terse text message, however, said, “The situation is now under control.”

Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force have been deployed to the area to disperse the looters and secure the building.
