March 14, (THEWILL) – The Martins Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly, on Friday, adjourned its sittings indefinitely.

THEWILL earlier reported that Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Thursday notified the lawmakers of his plans to present the 2025 budget on Wednesday, March 19, for consideration and approval.

This decision, he said is in compliance with the Supreme Court judgment and in response to the lawmakers’ request for him to re-present the budget.

Earlier, the lawmakers on Wednesday denied the governor’s access to the premises of the Rivers State House of Assembly to represent the budget.
