December 04, (THEWILL) — The Rivers State Police Command has rescued five kidnapped persons from a cultist hideout in Emuoha Local Government Area, following a coordinated midnight operation.
In a statement issued on Thursday morning, the command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the victims, including Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious and London Sampson, were abducted from their isolated homes by yet-to-be-identified cultists earlier in the week.
Iringe-Koko explained that the rescue operation was carried out around 1:00 am on December 4, 2025, at Rumudogo 2 community by the command’s Tactical Teams, working alongside other security agencies and with support from local residents.
“All five victims were safely recovered and immediately taken to a hospital for medical evaluation”, she added.
Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, commended the operatives for their swift intervention and reassured the public that efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing abductors. He urged residents to remain vigilant and continue to cooperate with security agencies to enhance safety across the state.
“Residents should go about their legitimate businesses without fear because their safety is our priority”, Adepoju said.
