BEVERLY HILLS, October 21, (THEWILL) –The Senate has deferred the ongoing screening of ministerial nominees till Thursday after screening only two nominees on Tuesday.
The acting clerk, Nelson Oyewo, announced this development.
The senate had adjourned plenary till Wednesday after screening Mr Adebayo Shittu (Oyo) and Mrs Khadija Abba Ibrahim (Yobe).
THEWILL understands that the postponement was done to allow Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki present himself at his trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), where he is facing allegations of wrongful declaration of assets.
