March 04, (THEWILL) – Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, on Monday evening joined residents of Kano and key political figures in breaking the third-day Ramadan fast, marking the occasion with the launch of a feeding programme for the less privileged.
The event, held at Al-Furqan Mosque in Kano, was part of his Renewed Hope Youth Engagement initiative, designed to support vulnerable groups, including persons living with disabilities.
Speaking at the launch, Tinubu highlighted the importance of community service and social welfare, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
He reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives aimed at uplifting the underprivileged and fostering national unity.
Before the Iftar, Tinubu paid a courtesy visit to business mogul Aminu Dantata, where they discussed social and developmental issues.
He also met with Governor Abba Yusuf in what observers viewed as a strategic engagement, given the political dynamics in the state.
The Iftar gathering, held at the Amani Event Centre, brought together members of both the All Progressives Congress and the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
Among the attendees were the NNPP state chairman, Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, as well as sons of the APC National Chairman and the Kano State Governor, alongside government officials, grassroots mobilizers, and political stakeholders from both parties.
Tinubu’s outreach reflects his growing influence in humanitarian and political circles, reinforcing his efforts to bridge political divides through community engagement.
As Ramadan progresses, the feeding programme is expected to provide essential meals to thousands of fasting individuals, strengthening ties between leaders and the people.
