April 23, (THEWILL) – The Sokoto State Police Command has launched an in-house refresher training programme for its personnel in the state.
The police spokesperson, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, in a statement on Wednesday, said the training is to enhance professionalism, discipline, and service delivery, among personnel in the Command.
The statement said the initiative is in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and forms part of the ongoing efforts to build a more reoriented and efficient police force.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Musa, who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, emphasised the importance of the training in enhancing officers’ professional conduct.
“The training sessions are structured to cover key aspects of modern policing, including ethics, public civility, and emotional control in challenging situations”, he stated.
