April 23, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has appointed renowned music star, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, as the state’s Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
Governor Alia announced the appointment during the musician’s visit to the Government House in Makurdi on Wednesday.
He explained that the appointment was part of his administration’s efforts to leverage entertainment as a tool to foster youth engagement, drive community development, and promote positive social change across the state.
The governor also praised 2Face for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
“Let me thank you, first and foremost, for supporting my administration and for already proclaiming support for 2027. I feel it is only fitting because you are a guru in entertainment. Once you mention ‘2Face,’ people start dancing, even without you singing,” Alia said.
He added, “On behalf of the Benue State Government, we are giving you additional responsibilities alongside what you have been doing because you have the capacity to help us chart a new course, uplift lives, and share your wisdom and connections.”
“So, I am pleased to announce that we are appointing you as Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Community Outreach,” the governor said.
