October 09, (THEWILL) — SystemSpecs Holdings Limited has announced the death of its former Chairman, Dr. Christopher Kolade veteran broadcaster, diplomat, business leader, and elder statesman, who passed away on Wednesday, October 8, at the age of 92.

Dr. Kolade, who chaired the company’s Board of Directors for several years, was hailed for his visionary leadership and moral compass, which helped transform SystemSpecs from a pioneering Nigerian software firm into one of Africa’s most respected technology brands.

In a statement, the Founder and Group Managing Director of SystemSpecs, Dr. John Obaro, described Dr. Kolade as “a symbol of integrity and excellence.”

“Dr. Kolade embodied everything noble about leadership, integrity, service, and excellence.

“His presence inspired discipline and purpose, and his counsel guided us through defining moments in our history.

“We are deeply grateful for the honour of having shared in his remarkable life and legacy,” Obaro said.

Even after stepping down as Chairman in 2022, Dr. Kolade continued to serve as an adviser to the company, maintaining his commitment to advancing indigenous innovation and technology-driven national development.

Widely celebrated for his contributions to public service, education, and governance, Dr. Kolade served as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, and President of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He was also deeply involved in civic and faith-based initiatives throughout his life.

SystemSpecs extended its condolences to the Kolade family, noting that his impact on leadership, ethics, and nation-building would remain indelible.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement added.
