June 25, (THEWILL) – Family members, colleagues and lovers of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, could not hold their tears on Saturday, when her body arrived at her home town in Amakpoke Umuaku community, Abia State, for final burial.

THEWILL reports that Osinachi, who died on April 8, 2022, was reported to have suffered domestic violence prior to her death.

Her family members had accused the late singer’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu, of domestic violence, leading to her death.

The husband is currently being tried in an Abuja court for abusing the deceased during their 15 years of marriage, which was blessed with four children.

Prior to the final internment on Saturday, a night of worship was held in Abuja on Thursday, June 23, while a Night of Prayer was also held in Isochi, Umunoci in Abia state on Friday, June 24.

Osinachi served as a member of the choir at the headquarters of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, up until the time of her passing.

Meanwhile, travellers reportedly commuting for the burial of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, have narrowly escaped being kidnapped.

According to reports, their journey was cut short when gunmen took over Umuaku road, Abia State, in broad daylight.
