November 11, (THEWILL) – At least three persons have been killed in an accident after a truck rammed into a commercial tricycle and a Toyota Camry in the Epe area of Lagos on Monday.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said in a post on X that the accident resulted from a brake failure by the truck on its way from Ita-Opo.
“Three lives were lost and they’ve been taken to the morgue at Epe General Hospital while we have a tow truck on the ground to evacuate the affected vehicles. Traffic has been diverted for easy vehicular movement,” LASTMA said.
Commuters have been advised to avoid the Ita-Opo to Ayetoro route and instead follow the detours provided, from Ita-Opo to Shade or via the roundabout near the General Hospital.
