March 28, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has appointed board chairmen for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and 22 other federal institutions.
A statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced that Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been named Chairman of the NTA Board.
Other notable appointments include Mallam Muhammad Massan, APC State Chairman in Bauchi State, as Chairman of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Ilorin; Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, APC State Chairman in Kano State, as Chairman of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service; and Dr. Austine Agada, APC State Chairman in Benue State, as Chairman of the National Agricultural Seed Council.
Hon. Macdonald Ebere, APC State Chairman in Imo State, has been appointed Chairman of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos, while Ubong Stephen Ntukekpo, APC State Chairman in Akwa Ibom State, will chair the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research, New Bussa. Chief Emma Eneukwu, APC Deputy National Chairman (South), has been named Chairman of the National Automotive Development Council.
Aminu Musa Bobi, APC State Chairman in Niger State, is now Chairman of the National Library of Nigeria. Pharm. Abass Olayide, APC State Chairman in Oyo State, has been appointed Chairman of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna. Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, APC State Chairman in Yobe State, will serve as Chairman of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, while Benjamin Omale, APC State Chairman in Benue State, takes over as Chairman of the National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu.
Rufus Bature, APC State Chairman in Plateau State, is the new Chairman of the Nigerian Coal Corporation, and Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Kana, APC State Chairman in Kebbi State, has been named Chairman of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies. Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, a member of the APC National Working Committee from Abia State, will chair the Project Development Institute (PRODA).
Comrade Mustapha Salihu, APC State Chairman in Adamawa State, has been appointed Chairman of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, APC State Chairman in Abia State, is now Chairman of the National Parks Headquarters. Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, APC State Chairman in the Federal Capital Territory, has been named Chairman of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan.
Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, APC State Chairman in Taraba State, has been appointed Chairman of the Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria. Sola Elesin, APC State Chairman in Ekiti State, takes over as Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences. Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, APC State Chairman in Edo State, has been named Chairman of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure.
Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, APC State Chairman in Zamfara State, has been appointed Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Azare. Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, APC State Chairman in Jigawa State, will now chair the Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology, Kano. Barr. Idris Shuaibu, APC State Chairman in Adamawa State, has been named Chairman of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.
Additionally, President Tinubu approved the appointment of Fatuhu Mohammed Buhari from Katsina State as the new Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.
