The statement added that Ramat, who served as the Chairman of Ungogo Local Government Area (LGA) in Kano State, from 2021 to 2024, will assume office in an acting capacity until he is confirmed by the Senate.

“All nominations are subject to Senate confirmation. However, to avoid a leadership vacuum in the critical regulatory agency, the President directed that Engr Ramat assume office in acting capacity pending his screening by the Senate, as stipulated by the law”, the statement said.

President Tinubu urged the nominees to deploy their expertise and experience in advancing his administration’s vision for the power sector.
