
March 15, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has asked the Senate to confirm the appointment of Adamu Galumje (JSC), as Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
In a letter addressed to Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and read at plenary on Thursday, President Tinubu said the nomination of Galumje, followed the vacancy created by the expiration of tenure and subsequent retirement of the Immediate past chairman of the bureau.
He added that the appointment is according to section 154 (1), of the 1999 Constitution as Amended.
The request has been referred to the Senate Committee on Public Petitions for screening consideration of the nominee at the committee level.
