
October 15, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the former Governor of Oyo State and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, over the passing of his wife, Tinuade.
Tinuade died on Monday morning, after a brief illness. Until her death, she was an influential member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church.
A statement issued on Tuesday, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said the President extended his condolences to the former governor’s family, associates of the late spouse, and the Celestial Church of Christ, where she served as a member of the Pastor-in-Council.
President Tinubu noted the contributions of the deceased to humanity, affirming her dedication to charitable works, wise counsel, and advocacy for the welfare and education of women and children. He praised Tinuade’s selfless life, devotion to the well-being of others and the spread of the gospel.
The statement added that the president earnestly prayed for the repose of the departed matriarch’s soul and for God’s comforting arms to strengthen the family during this difficult time.
