March 08, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has directed security and intelligence agencies to promptly rescue the victims of recent abduction incidents in Borno and Kaduna states, assuring that justice will be administered decisively.
THEWILL earlier reported that over 100 female IDPs in Ngala, the headquarters of Gambarou Ngala in Borno State, were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists last Sunday when the women went to fetch firewood.
Similarly, suspected bandits, on Thursday, abducted over 100 pupils and teachers of LEA Primary School, Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Condemning the incidents, President Bola Tinubu expressed strong disapproval for the terrible acts of abduction targeting extremely vulnerable individuals, including IDPs in Borno and pupils in Kaduna State.
The President, therefore, directed security and intelligence agencies to promptly rescue the victims and ensure that those responsible for the heinous acts are brought to justice.
“I have received briefing from security chiefs on the two incidents and I am confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered,” President Tinubu assured.
