June 03, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, as he marks his 60th birthday on June 3.
The President in a statement commended Ojulari for his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, describing him as a visionary leader whose career has been marked by innovation and commitment to excellence.
Before his appointment as GCEO of NNPC Limited in April 2025, Ojulari served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company. He also led the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) as Managing Director from 2015 to 2021.
President Tinubu praised Ojulari’s efforts in stabilising and transforming the oil sector, particularly noting the recent increase in oil production from 1.5 million to 1.7 million barrels per day within just two months. He expressed optimism about the country’s push toward achieving a 1.9 million barrels per day target by the end of the year.
“You have your work clearly defined before you. As head of NNPC Limited, your mission is to win investor confidence and ensure that NNPC becomes a key driver of Nigeria’s economic growth.
“On your birthday, my message to you is simple: continue to serve God and country with dedication and integrity, knowing that your efforts will bring renewed hope to Nigerians and strengthen our energy industry”, he added.
President Tinubu prayed that God continued to strength Ojulari with wisdom, and success in leading the national energy company into a new era of transparency and productivity.
