June 19, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu on Thursday inaugurated a series of developmental projects in Kaduna State, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to infrastructure expansion, healthcare improvement, skills development, and economic empowerment.
Among the key projects commissioned was the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, with facilities spread across Rigachikun, Soba, and Samaru Kataf.
The centres were established by the Kaduna State Government under Governor Uba Sani as part of a comprehensive human capital development strategy aimed at transforming the state into a national hub for skills acquisition.
Accompanied by Governor Uba Sani, top government officials, and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Tinubu also commissioned a 300-bed hospital, a 24-kilometre Kafanchan township road, the Tudun Biri road, and a 22-kilometre road linking Kauru and Kubau Local Government Areas.
The newly commissioned hospital is a key component of the state’s broader plan to revitalise health infrastructure across its three senatorial zones, ensuring more equitable access to quality healthcare.
In addition, the President unveiled 100 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses, part of efforts to modernise Kaduna’s public transportation system and promote cleaner, more sustainable mobility solutions.
The commissioning of these projects highlights a strategic push to enhance social services, ease transportation, and empower the youth through vocational training — all critical pillars in the drive toward sustainable socio-economic development in Kaduna State.
