October 10, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Interface Africa, a Kaduna-based technology startup, for winning the £1.5 million NextGen Innovation Challenge held in London.
Interface Africa, led by Al’amin Muhammed Idris, emerged winner at the grand finale of the competition held at the Hilton London Paddington. The startup was recognised for its innovative work in providing affordable solar financing solutions for small businesses across Nigeria.
The NextGen Innovation Challenge is a national initiative organised by the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) in collaboration with UKALD London to promote creativity and technological innovation among Nigerian youths.
In his congratulatory message, President Tinubu commended the company for its commitment to expanding clean energy access and driving youth-led innovation. He described the achievement as a reflection of Nigeria’s growing potential in technology and entrepreneurship.
“The innovative potential of Nigerian youths is boundless”, Tinubu said, adding that his administration will continue to support initiatives that encourage innovation, job creation, and sustainable growth.
The President also applauded other participating teams for their efforts and urged them to remain dedicated to developing impactful solutions for national development.
