March 18, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, held a closed-door meeting with the heads of security and paramilitary agencies at the Presidential villa in Abuja.

The meeting comes amidst heightened tension in Rivers State over the ongoing political crisis in the State.

Earlier, THEWILL reports a devastating explosion that occurred Monday night, at the Trans-Niger Pipeline located at the border of Kpor and Bodo communities in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State. The facility is operated by the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).

President at the meeting with Service Chiefs including National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, include the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun; Directors General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Adeola Ajayi; and Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Mohammed.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, Reps Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, also attended the meeting.
