October 22, (THEWILL) — Transcorp Hotels Plc has reported a strong third-quarter (Q3) performance for 2025, posting a profit before tax (PBT) of N22.4 billion, up from N14.8 billion in the same period of 2024, a growth of roughly 51%. The company’s revenue surged by 49% year-on-year, reflecting sustained recovery in Nigeria’s hospitality sector and increased demand for business and leisure travel.
According to the unaudited financial results released on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), the hotel group’s turnover rose sharply on the back of higher occupancy rates, improved room pricing, and robust performance across its hospitality and event businesses in Abuja and Lagos.
Transcorp Hotels, which operates the Transcorp Hilton Abuja and Aura by Transcorp, credited the impressive results to its digital transformation efforts, enhanced guest experience, and efficient cost management. The company also said it continues to benefit from strong domestic tourism and the growing confidence of corporate clients holding major conferences and events within Nigeria.
In a statement accompanying the results, the Managing Director/CEO, Dupe Olusola, said the growth highlights the company’s resilience and strategic focus.
“We have maintained our growth trajectory by staying innovative, improving service delivery, and optimising our assets,” Olusola noted. “Our strategy continues to deliver strong returns for shareholders as we consolidate our leadership in Nigeria’s hospitality sector.”
The strong Q3 results come at a time when Nigeria’s service sector is showing renewed momentum, supported by steady business activity and the recovery of air travel. Analysts say Transcorp Hotels’ performance reinforces the growing strength of the hospitality and tourism industry as a contributor to GDP growth and job creation.
With the festive season approaching, Transcorp Hotels is expected to sustain its growth trend into the final quarter of the year, driven by increased domestic travel and higher event bookings. The company says it remains focused on expansion and innovation to deepen its footprint across Africa’s evolving hospitality landscape.
