July 28, (THEWILL) — Transcorp Power Plc (“Transcorp Power” or “the Company”) (NGX: TRANSPOWER), a key power subsidiary of Nigeria’s leading conglomerate, Transnational Corporation Plc (“Transcorp Group”), has announced impressive financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2025.

According to the unaudited financial statements released on Monday, the company recorded a revenue of ₦205.8 billion in H1 2025, representing a 52% increase from ₦135.4 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.

Gross profit rose to ₦77.6 billion, up from ₦62.9 billion in H1 2024, reflecting a 23% gross margin. Profit Before Tax (PBT) also increased by 15% year-on-year to ₦58.7 billion, compared to ₦51.0 billion in H1 2024—underscoring sustained operational efficiency.

In line with its commitment to delivering shareholder value, Transcorp Power declared an interim dividend of ₦11.25 billion, equivalent to ₦1.50 per 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.

The strong H1 2025 performance was attributed to enhanced generation capacity and operational efficiency, driven by continued investments in infrastructure and service delivery.

Despite macroeconomic challenges such as inflation and foreign exchange volatility, the company maintained profitability through effective pricing strategies and tight cost controls.
