July 30, (THEWILL) — Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), one of Nigeria’s leading listed conglomerates, has posted impressive financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2025, demonstrating sustained growth across its diversified portfolio.
According to the unaudited financial statement released on Monday, the Group recorded a 59% year-on-year revenue growth, rising from N175.4bn in H1 2024 to N279.7bn in H1 2025.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the period also rose by 21%, reaching N85.7bn compared to N70.9bn in the same period last year. The performance resulted in an increased gross profit margin of 47%, despite prevailing economic headwinds.
In line with its commitment to delivering returns to shareholders, Transcorp declared an interim dividend of N4.064bn, translating to 40 kobo per ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.
Despite macroeconomic challenges, Transcorp’s operations across power, hospitality, and natural resources sectors remained resilient. Among key milestones for the reporting period was the launch of the Transcorp Centre in Abuja — a state-of-the-art convention and events hub that has already hosted international dignitaries and high-profile events.
Commenting on the results, Chairman of Transcorp Group, Tony O. Elumelu, said:
“Delivering on our impact-driven, value-creating mission, we continue to make strategic investments across Nigeria. In power, Transcorp Power and Transafam Power are transforming lives through innovation. In hospitality, we are setting new standards, most recently with the opening of the Transcorp Centre — Nigeria’s premier events destination. Our performance underlines the strength of our diversified business model and our commitment to shareholder value and national development.”
Also speaking on the Group’s performance, President/Group CEO, Owen Omogiafo, attributed the results to the company’s operational discipline and strategic resilience.
“Our Q2 2025 results reflect Transcorp’s dedication to operational excellence and our ability to adapt to a dynamic economic environment,” Omogiafo stated.
“With the new 5,000-seat Transcorp Centre, we are positioning Nigeria as a leading destination for world-class conferences and events — as demonstrated by the successful hosting of the AFREXIM Annual Meetings 2025. Across all segments, we remain focused on innovation and long-term growth.”
