May 08, (THEWILL) – Dr Trinity Ogar has assumed office as the Cross River State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.
Ogar, the senior pastor at the Gold City Gospel Ministry International, was inaugurated alongside other members of the new executive.
Speaking after his inauguration, Dr Ogar said the office is a very big shoe to put on, but expressed optimism that with God he will deliver.
He also promised to build in what the previous administration achieved and also correct their errors.
“Leading the entire Pentecostals in Cross River State is a very big shoe that someone has to wear but I believe that with God on our side we are going to deliver.
“As a matter of fact, we are going to take the fellowship a little further. We are sure that we have done credibly well for the past eight years and don’t be amazed that I served in the past administration as the deputy for eight years so I think I have an idea where there are pitfalls, mistakes, and errors.
“So we can correct those errors first. I believe that experience plus wisdom and grace would help us excel”, he said.
Also speaking, Dr Lawrence Ekwok, the immediate past state PFN chairman thanked the Christian community in the state for the massive support given to him over the last eight years.
He charged the new executive to be transparent at all times because that’s the only way to earn the support of the people.
Apostle David Zilly Aggrey, the National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), South South zone charged incoming administrations, both at the national and State levels, to ensure they come up with people oriented policies if they must succeed in moving the country forward.
Twelve officers will join Apostle Ogar to pilot the affairs of the PFN for the next four years.
They include Apostle Frank Umoh, Deputy Chairman, Pastor Akomaye Ugar, General Secretary and Apostle Gloria Ikot, Treasurer, amongst others.
