June 04, (THEWILL) – The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has declared that there will be no hiding place for individuals or groups threatening Nigeria’s peace and stability, affirming the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment to national security.
Abubakar issued the warning on Wednesday in Abuja during the Nigerian Air Force Second Quarter Route March, where he rallied personnel to remain physically and mentally prepared for the challenges ahead.
“To the enemies of our nation, know this: there will be no hiding place for those who threaten the peace and stability of Nigeria. We are coming for you. We will find you and take you out,” he vowed.
He stressed that the defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protection of citizens remains the NAF’s top priority, adding that the force will continue to defend every inch of the country’s airspace and participate actively in joint operations to safeguard lives and property.
Highlighting the importance of physical fitness among personnel, Abubakar directed that all Performance Evaluation Reports must now include a Physical Fitness Test Certificate, stating categorically that no officer will be considered for promotion without meeting medical and fitness standards.
Drawing a parallel between the route march and the NAF’s broader operational ethos, he said:
“Let today’s route march be a reminder of who we are and what we stand for. Let it rekindle our fighting spirit and reinforce our shared commitment to the defence of Nigeria. We are not just marching on roads; we are marching towards purpose, honour, and victory.”
The Air Chief also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his continued support to the Armed Forces.
