June 13, (THEWILL) – The Defence Headquarters has confirmed the arrest of over 100 suspects allegedly involved in the killing of five soldiers in Abia State.

THEWILL had reported that five soldiers and a civilian were killed on May 30, 2024, (Biafra Day) in Aba, Abia State, during the enforcement of a sit-at-home order declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to mark the 57th anniversary of the Nigerian Civil War.

Speaking on Thursday, Director, Defence Media Operations (DMO), Major General Edward Buba, said some of the arrested suspects have been released while others who were culpable are still in military custody.
