February 15, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to arrive in Adamawa State on Monday for a one-day official visit to inaugurate a series of landmark projects, coming less than 48 hours after a similar visit to Kebbi State.
The visit follows reports that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri recently met with the President to finalize a pact to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The anticipated move is being viewed by analysts as a significant political realignment within the North-East region.
In a statement released on Sunday, Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga explained that the visit is part of a broader nationwide effort to assess and support infrastructure and development initiatives.
During the working visit, President Tinubu is expected to inaugurate several completed projects in Yola and Jimeta.
These include the eight-lane Galadima Aminu Road, a major arterial route designed to link Gimba with the state capital, ease traffic congestion, and stimulate economic growth.
The President is also slated to commission a model school comprising pre-primary, primary, and junior secondary sections, as well as a newly constructed multipurpose hall and a remodelled High Court. Other projects on the itinerary include a new residential complex for officers and the renovated Government House.
Mr. Onanuga noted that the President will hold meetings with top government officials and traditional rulers, and will interact with residents before returning to Abuja at the conclusion of the inauguration ceremonies.
