SAN FRANCISCO, April 25, (THEWILL) – Diogo Jota has led Wolverhampton to win the inaugural ePremier League Invitational Tournament. The 23 year-old Jota defeated Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold 2 goals to 1 in the final through the Golden Goal rule.

The ePremier League Invitational Tournament was created by the League to test the FIFA20 skills of footballers in the Premier League.

The prize money will be donated to the Charity #PlayersTogether initiative, created by Premier League players as a collective way of generating funds for the National Health Service especially this critical period of COVID-19 and distributing them where they are needed most.

Earlier in the day, Jota defeated Dwight McNeil of Burnley FC 4 – 1 in the semifinal match to advance to the final.

In the other semifinals, Trent Alexander-Arnold defeated Raheem Sterling of Manchester City 3 – 2 through Golden Goal rule to reach the final.
