Yenagoa Hospital, Edward LoveGod Nominated For Bayelsa Media Network Awards

November 20, (THEWILL) – The Bayelsa Media Network Awards has announced the nomination of Yenagoa Hospital and Maternity Limited as Best Hospital of the Year and Edward LoveGod for Special Recognition in Waste Management.

The Project Manager of BMNA, Blessing Ozegbe, delivered the nomination letters, highlighting the hospital’s exceptional patient care, commitment to quality healthcare delivery, and welcoming ambiance as reasons for the recognition.

“Your dedication to saving lives and providing quality medical services has been repeatedly lauded by patients and stakeholders. We encourage you to continue your exemplary service,” Ozegbe stated.

In response, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Dr. Uba, expressed gratitude to the organisers, describing the recognition as a motivation to enhance their services further.

Edward LoveGod received a nomination for his outstanding contributions to waste management in the Azikoro community. Ozegbe commended his selfless efforts in keeping the community clean, promoting environmental awareness, and inspiring other youths through his patriotism and hard work.

“Your commitment to maintaining cleanliness in Azikoro and its environs is a shining example of community service. We hope more Bayelsa youths will follow your footsteps,” she said.

LoveGod revealed that his inspiration came from the pristine cleanliness of Calabar, prompting him to mobilise local youths for environmental sanitation.

His initiatives include desilting drainages, clearing refuse, and sensitising residents on proper waste disposal practices.

“I’ve always believed in fostering a cleaner and healthier environment. This recognition will fuel my advocacy for sustainable waste management,” he said, appealing for support to sustain his efforts.

The Bayelsa Media Network Awards aim to recognize and celebrate individuals and organisations that contribute to the development of Bayelsa State.

This year’s award ceremony is scheduled for December 26, 2024, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat, Azikoro Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa.
