May 16, (THEWILL) — Yusuf Buhari, son of Nigeria’s late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has secured a resounding victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat in Katsina State, reinforcing the enduring political influence of the Buhari family in the state.
Results announced on Saturday showed Yusuf Buhari polling a dominant 5,849 votes to defeat Hon. Auwal Daura, who secured just 21 votes in the primary contest.
