May 18, (THEWILL) — Zaina Lodge, Ghana, is set to introduce new wedding and wildlife packages to Nigerian travel operators as part of efforts to deepen tourism collaboration between both countries and promote northern Ghana as a leisure destination.
The initiative will include a familiarisation tour designed to give Nigerian operators firsthand experience of the lodge and its surrounding wildlife ecosystem. Located in northern Ghana, the lodge combines safari-style accommodation with conservation-focused tourism experiences.
According to the lodge, participants in the tour will engage in guided wildlife tracking, safari rides and local culinary experiences aimed at exposing operators to the destination’s tourism offerings and improving their understanding of the product for prospective travellers.
The lodge said the packages are targeted at travellers seeking a blend of adventure, nature and luxury, particularly in the areas of destination weddings and wildlife tourism.
Zaina Lodge also described the experience as an opportunity to showcase the cultural and environmental appeal of the Ghanaian savanna. The term “Maraaba”, commonly used within the lodge’s host community and interpreted as “welcome again”, was highlighted as part of the cultural identity surrounding the destination.
The development reflects growing interest among West African tourism operators in experiential travel products centred on eco-tourism, conservation and destination-based hospitality experiences.
