March 31, (THEWILL) — Zedcrest Group has appointed Ademola Akogun as Managing Director, Investment Banking, following Board approval, underscoring its push into full-service capital market operations.
The appointment follows the company’s securing of an Issuing House licence, which enables it to provide end-to-end investment banking services, including capital raising, structured finance, and advisory offerings across sectors.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, the Group Managing Director, Adedayo Amzat, said the appointment is subject to regulatory clearance by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Akogun joins from Quest Merchant Bank Limited, where he was Head of Financial Advisory & Debt Solutions. He led the origination and execution of transactions across energy, infrastructure, and financial services, strengthening his track record in complex deal structuring.
Previously, he served as Vice President, Investment at EverCorp Industries, overseeing investment strategy, portfolio management, and deal execution across upstream oil and gas, gas distribution, and renewable energy assets.
He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Lagos, along with executive training from Lagos Business School and Bocconi University.
With this move, Zedcrest aims to deepen its role in Africa’s capital markets by delivering tailored financial solutions to businesses, institutions, and governments.
