APC defeats PDP in Bauchi

The All Progressives Congress polled 798,428 votes to beat the Peoples Democratic Party which scored 209,313 votes.

Prof. Alhassan Ghani, the State Collation officer, announced the result after collation from the 20 local government areas of the state saying the state had 2,453,512 registered voters, out of which, 1,075,330 were accredited for the election.

According to the collation officer, the exercise recorded a total of 1,024,307 valid votes and 37,648 invalid votes.

Buhari gets 1.23m votes in Katsina

President Muhammadu Buhari has polled 1,232,133 votes in Katsina, his home state in Saturday’s presidential election.

Prof. Fatima Mukhtar, the State Collation Officer said Buhari defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party who got 308,056 votes.

Buhari won in all the 34 local government areas of the state with a wide margin.

The state has a total of 3.2 million registered voters, but only 1,628,865 voters were accredited during the election, Mukhtar said. The total votes cast was 1,619,186 and 63,712 votes were rejected.

Buhari wins Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari has won the Feb. 23 election held in Kaduna state with 993,482 votes.

Prof. Bello Shehu, the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the result on Monday in Kaduna saying Atiku Abubakar, scored 613,318 votes in the poll.

He said the APC won in 14 local government areas of the state, while the PDP won in nine local government areas.

Buhari defeats Atiku in Kano with over one million votes

The INEC collation officer for the presidential election in Kano, Magaji Garba, announced that President Buhari scored 1,464,768 votes to beat the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who polled 391,593.

Kano has 5,391,581 registered voters, out of which 2,006,410 voters were accredited for the presidential election.

The result showed that the total votes cast was 1,964,751, out of which 73,617 votes were rejected. Valid votes were 1, 891,134.

PDP wins Benue

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has defeated his All Progressives Congress opponent, President Muhammadu Buhari in Benue state.

According to the result announced by the Benue State Collation/Returning Officer, Prof. Sabastine Maimako, Atiku polled a total of 355,255 to defeat Buhari who got 347,668 votes.

Atiku also got the majority votes in each of 13 Local Government Areas while Buhari got the majority votes in each of 10 LGs.

Atiku beats Buhari in Edo

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar narrowly won the presidential election in Edo state with 7849 votes more than his main rival, President Muhammadu Buhari.

The State Collation Officer for the Presidential election, Prof. Ndowa Lale announced at the INEC headquarters in Benin that Atiku scored 275,691 votes, while Buhari of the All Progressives Congress scored 267,842 votes.

However, Buhari beat Atiku in the number of councils won. He won in 10 while Atiku won in eight.

Lale who is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port-Harcourt, said the total number of registered voters in state was 2,150,127 while the total number of accredited voters was 604,915. The number of valid votes was 560,711 while 38,517 votes were rejected.
