BEVERLY HILLS, January 16, (THEWILL) – ABU Student Takes First Case Of Lassa Fever To LagosAfter being announced to be present in 11 states and the federal capital territory, FCT, a case of the now-dreaded Lassa fever have been recorded at the Lagos State Teaching hospital  LASUTH, Ikeja.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, who made this confirmation yesterday, noted that the incident of the hemorrhagic disease involves a 25-year-old student of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, who was on a visit to Lagos.

He was however quick to point out that the affected patient was responding to treatment, adding that there is no cause for alarm.
