
July 27, (THEWILL) – On Thursday, AC Milan revealed the signing of Samuel Chukwueze, Nigeria’s stylish winger, from Spanish side, Villarreal, on a five-year contract.
The 24-year-old footballer’s arrival marks a significant milestone for both the player and the club. According to media sources monitored by THEWILL, Chukwueze’s contract with Milan is valued at approximately €20 million, with an additional €8m possible in add-ons.
THEWILL recalls that Chukwueze made his debut for Villarreal in 2018 and has since made 207 appearances in various competitions, demonstrating impressive statistics of 37 goals and 31 assists for a combined 68 goal involvement tally. Notably, he played an instrumental role in Villarreal’s triumph in the UEFA Europa League in 2021, cementing his status as one of their standout players.
On the international stage, Chukwueze has represented Nigeria 28 times and scored four goals, since making his debut in 2018. His commitment to growth and excellence has been evident throughout his career, earning him a place on AC Milan’s roster, where he will proudly don the number 21 shirt.
