SAN FRANCISCO October 05, (THEWILL) – Adamawa state government has forwarded the investigation report of late Justice Umar Bobboi about the administration of former Governor, Murtala Nyako, for financial misappropriation and misconduct to the state Ministry of Justice for advice before the State Executive Council takes decision.
Speaking at Government house on Wednesday, the state Commissioner of Information and strategy Ahmed Sajoh said the late justice Umar Bobboi white paper had investigated the administration of Governor Nyako between 2007-2014.
“The State Executive Council at the meeting also ordered the full investigations into the activities of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) from its inception to date in the state,” Sajoh revealed.
The 5 man panel of investigation is to be chaired by Hon Alpha Belel.
Other members are Ayuba Tumba, Hon. Jim Audu and Babs Shuaibu as members while Deputy Permanent Secretary political in the SSG’s office is to serve as secretary respectively.
THEWILL recalls that former governor Murtala Nyako was impeached by the state assembly in 2014.
After the impeachment, the then speaker of the state assembly, Hon Ahmadu Fintiri, resumed the mantle of leadership as the acting governor of the state.
The Court of Appeal has however described the process that lead to the impeachment and the impeachment itself as Null and void and ineffective.
