July 08, (THEWILL) — Power supply has been disrupted in several areas of Abuja, including the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , Asokoro, Adamu Alero and Nasir El-Rufai Estate.
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), blamed the outage on a technical fault; adding that its engineers are working to restore electricity as soon as possible.
This power outage comes in addition to a scheduled blackout running from June 30 to July 31 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. daily.
The planned outage is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to construct a new 33kV feeder line to the Africa Medical Centre of Excellence, affecting communities like Lokogoma, Apo, and Sunny Vale Estate.
