BEVERLY HILLS, November 01, (THEWILL) – Boko Haram gunmen struck again weekend in Borno State, killing no fewer than 18 persons in Uba village, where they also destroyed many houses.
The village which lies between Adamawa and Borno States had earlier been attacked by the insurgents.
A local vigilante member, Bukar Ali, told THEWILL that the terrorists stormed the village in a convoy of many vehicles as they shot sporadically, killing anyone in sight.
According to Ibrahim, “As they approached, news filtered and the people fled in droves. On arrival, the terrorists threw explosives into many houses.”
The disclosure came as a resident of the village, Mohammed Aliyu, said: “I personally counted at least 18 persons while fleeing as their corpses were lying on the streets.I also saw many others who were injured.”
