August 03, (THEWILL) – The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12, Audu Adamu Madaki, has lost his orderly during an attack on his convoy by unknown gunmen.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, at Barde Zangidi, along Kaduna-Abuja Road.
According to an intelligence organisation, Eons Intelligence, via its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning, AIG Madaki sustained bullet injury, while his orderly was shot dead by the attackers.
“The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12 and his convoy were attacked yesterday, 2 August, 2022, at about 1430hrs, at Barde Zangidi.The AIG sustained bullet injury, while the orderly was shot dead”, the tweet read.
Spokesperson of zone 12 Police Command, in Bauchi, Thomas Goni, said he is yet to receive details of the attack.
“We are still waiting for the details of the incident. You know it did not happen within our jurisdiction here; it happened in Kaduna command, so I have been on the line with Kaduna to get the details from them”, he said.
Goni, however, confirmed that the AIG is alive, adding that information on the incident will be made available when details are received from the Kaduna command.
