Ailing Former Leader, Shonekan Alive – Ogun Government, Alake, Family Sources

BEVERLY HILLS, October 23, (THEWILL) – Former Head of the Interim National Government of Nigeria, Chief Ernest Shonekan is alive contrary to the #Fakenews being peddled on social media, the Ogun State government, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo and family sources said Tuesday.

Shonekan, 82, the Ogun State born industrialist and businessman, has been frail for months courtesy of an undisclosed ailment, according to THEWILL sources.

“Chief Shonekan has been struggling with ill-health for months coupled with the fact that he is old. He is however not dead,” close family sources told THEWILL.

“It is a lie from hell. Chief Shonekan is alive,” the Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa told journalists.

Also, the Alake in a statement through his aide, Layi Labode, said he’s in touch with the Shonekan family and that the former leader is alive.
