December 13, (THEWILL) – The Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for implementing business-friendly reforms aimed at stabilizing Nigeria’s economy, particularly in the aviation sector.
Speaking after a meeting with President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Thursday, Onyema commended the President’s strides in improving the ease of doing business.
He highlighted the pivotal role played by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in introducing reforms that are set to transform and stabilize the aviation industry.
Onyema acknowledged the current economic challenges but expressed confidence in Tinubu’s policies, which he described as laying the groundwork for long-term stability and growth.
He called on Nigerians to support the administration’s efforts and promote indigenous investments, emphasizing the need for patience and collective effort.
“The President is a businessman, and he’s trying to stabilize businesses with his policies, but many people don’t see this. Some of us in the business community understand what the President is trying to achieve,” Onyema said.
He further described Tinubu’s approach as a form of “real restructuring,” explaining, “Many Nigerians think restructuring means dividing the country along regional lines, but what Tinubu is doing is the real restructuring—changing the way we do things in the country to achieve better results in the long run.”
Onyema urged Nigerians to rally behind the government’s reform agenda, particularly in critical sectors like aviation.
He stressed that while the economy is facing turbulent times, the administration’s policies are designed to position Nigeria for sustainable growth and development.
“The President’s reforms will not only stabilize the aviation industry but will also have a ripple effect on the broader economy. It’s time for Nigerians to support indigenous businesses and the government’s vision for a prosperous future,” Onyema said.
